About Typed In Faith
Our mission, vision, and the story behind our faith-based typing practice application.
Mission
Learning to type takes weeks of practice. Too often, those weeks are spent on empty drills that leave faith out of the picture. As fathers—one in a Christian homeschool family, one in a Christian school family—we wanted better for our kids. That's why we built Typed in Faith: a program where the building blocks of digital literacy are taught through Scripture. Just as the scribes of old sharpened their skill by copying God's Word, we believe families today can train their children in typing with God's Word at the center.
Vision
We envision Christian families and schools equipped with tools that unite skill and Scripture, so that everyday learning doesn't separate faith from practice. By teaching the building blocks of digital literacy through God's Word, we want to help raise a generation prepared for the digital world with faith at their fingertips.
Our Content
Do you remember sitting in typing class in sixth grade, staring at a giant computer screen and hammering out monotonous random word drills? We use the proven art of disciplined repetition to build proficiency — but with one crucial difference. From the very first lesson, your child types short excerpts of Scripture in chronological order. Each new letter mastered unlocks more words and phrases drawn directly from the Bible. By the time they reach the New Testament, they're typing full passages of God's Word verbatim.
Along the way, students receive encouragement through milestone rewards and Scripture-based affirmations. Games and challenges are available to sharpen speed and accuracy, keeping practice engaging instead of monotonous. The result is a program that trains both skill and discipline, with the Bible woven naturally into every step.
Our Commitment
Typed in Faith began as two fathers looking for a better way for their children to learn typing through Scripture. That same conviction now shapes how we use every subscription we receive. We tithe to Christian charities and non-profits that directly impact children — organizations focused on education, disaster relief, and the prevention and rescue of victimized children. We steward these relationships with great care and accountability, and you can learn more on our Benevolence page. The remainder is reinvested back into Typed in Faith itself: strengthening this program and building new Scripture-centered resources for families in the digital world.
Our background spans technology work in the military, the private sector, and small businesses. That experience gives us both a deep respect for disciplined training and a desire to see Christian content thrive in the digital age. Our aim is simple: to see God's Word flourish wherever technology is shaping the next generation.
Clarity
Typed in Faith is Scripture-immersion typing training. It is not a Bible commentary or a devotional. We don't give your children our interpretations — we give them God's Word itself, with light summaries to connect the story arcs. Our aim is to keep the program faithful, accurate, and true to the text. If you see something that needs attention, we welcome honest feedback and will labor to make it right. Please use our comments page or email to share your thoughts with us.
Send-Off
It is our privilege to serve your family in training hands for skill and minds in Scripture — all for this greater purpose: to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:12).
